The brainchild of WZWF was initiated in 2007 during the meeting of international conference of Zakat in Kuala Lumpur.

The World Zakat & Waqf Forum (WZWF) has been serving as the global platform advocating the global awareness of zakat and Waqf. The WZWF has been organising various agendas of Zakat and Waqf institutionally and formally with the stakeholders of zakat and waqf from countries across the globe. The establishment of WZWF is a response to the need of developing an international zakat and waqf campaign worldwide so as to consolidate the practice of zakat and waqf in international agenda.
